Water Polo by the Sea Portofino presented by Pro Recco is the first international expansion of this iconic event and we’re proud to partner together with multiple Italian and European Champion club Pro Recco and other major sponsors including Delfina Sport and Vueling to bring the success of Water Polo by the Sea to the Ligurian jewel – Portofino.

The event is set for September 23 and will include Italy (SetteBello) v World All Stars bring together the greats of the game and will also include an exhibition match with the Italian Women’s Team (Setterosa) and a yet to be announced opponent.

Bringing together the world’s greatest players in a location like Portofino is an exciting development for Water Polo internationally and we’re so appreciative of all of the support of our major partners who have come together to make this a reality. The success of events at Bondi Icebergs and Sydney Harbour in Sydney, Australia has led to a strong demand globally and we couldn’t think of a better place than Portofino to launch this successful and exciting new chapter.

Portofino will be turned into a stadium especially for the event to allow significant spectator capacity and VIP hospitality and we’re extremely supportive of Il Comune Di Portofino, Marina di Portofino and Regione di Liguria together with FIN in supporting this initiative.
